Mem
ProductivityNotes that file themselves.
4.2(301)4.2 out of 5, 301 reviews
Mem is a notes app that bets on AI retrieval instead of folders. You dump meetings, thoughts, and snippets; it surfaces them later when they matter. The collection friction is genuinely low, which is the whole product. Search and 'what's relevant now' work best after a few weeks of use — empty Mem is an empty promise. Power users who loved Roam or Mem X will feel at home; people who need strict structure will bounce.
Editor verdict
A strong capture layer. Do not expect it to replace a structured wiki.
Pros
- Zero-filing capture is genuinely fast
- Retrieval gets smarter the more you write
- Clean, quiet interface
Cons
- Weak until you have a real corpus
- Export and team features are thinner than Notion
- Easy to create a junk drawer if you never review
Best for
Solo knowledge workers who hate folders more than they hate search.
